5 ways to organize the HHS homepage
1. put the student links together in one place and the faculty’s in a seprate place with titles to tell which is which.
2. Instead of opening up the calander to a list of options just make it so when you open the calander it actually opens, but add more details to it like sports tests etc.
3.Just make everything more understandable, instead of having a ton of links condense everything to make things easier to read.
4. make the login more noticeable instead of being in the corner where you might not always find it.
5. Instead of having plain text reading “daily announcements” have it be an actual link that you can click on to see the days announcements.

Reflective Commentary
The tools and strategies for collecting information have been very usefull. I think that its a good way to keep all of the information you want together and to group things according to topic. I liked all of the websites used, because I thought it made things easier to find information for projects or topics. I liked the google docs and spreadsheets because I think its a good way to type something out and to see the revisions ive made also I liked how I had to invite people to collaberate to see what I wrote. I also liked the google reader because it helped me to keep all of my information on certian topics together, but at the same time I didnt really like google reader because I didnt think that all of my information was organized exactly how I wanted it to be. Although all the sites helped very much and were usefull in many ways, I liked the my yahoo the best, because I thought it was the most organized and showed exactly what I wanted it to where I wanted it to, instead of me having to look to find it, I liked it giving me the option to put everything how I wanted it to be on my page.
I think using the My Yahoo helped me to sort out my information and to keep everything under one file. I also think that it helped in to get me more information then i probably could on another website. i didnt have to worry about loosing the addresses for the website either because i can just add them to my page. i think it was a usefull site and can help alot in writing a report, or doing a project.
1. I dont think that any of the resources should be removed, i just think that they should be condensed. I think that more should be added under clubs and activities, athletics and many other categories. The resources that the faculty needs should all be put under one category, so its easier for people to look for their own information.

Us companies such as Google and yahoo honor their request because if they didnt they’d loose alot of their money that they make from china, so instead of blocking their entire site and loosing alot of money they are just blocking some sites and not loosing as much. Internet censorship works by whatever you dont want someone to see you can put up a block which enables them from going onto the sight, there are ways to get around this though. You can go through a site like google to get to another site.

Should cheerleading stunts be limited, or taken away at all? That’s a question that the NCAA has come up with. Cheerleading has changed dramatically over the past years. It’s been declared a sport, and has had many injury’s including death. Many cheerleaders have been hurt by being thrown up fifteen to twenty feet in the air, because of that the NCAA is thinking about grounding all stunts or taking away basket tosses. A basket toss is when you put your arms in a square formation throwing the flyer up into the air fifteen to twenty feet and while having three people to catch her. Obviously it’s a dangerous stunt, but it takes true skill to achieve to that level of difficulty.
In my own opinion I think that grounding all stunts, or taking away basket tosses will ruin everything everyone has worked for over the past years. One of my friends was actually in a basket toss being thrown up, landed on the hardwood floor from going backwards getting a concusion, but that didn’t stop her, she’s back and ready to try that all over again. Yes, cheerleading is a dangerous sport, but they are stating the fact of taking out a huge point of the sport, thats like telling football players they cant tackle the other team. So why should we let people tell us our sports too unsafe when other sports are just as dangerous, but no ones limiting them.
It’s true that as time goes on and more technology is developed that there is much more multitasking going on. Instead of kids just sitting at their computers to type up a essay, or do school work they are IMing, downloading music, or listening to music, and although I know that I do this, it can be taking away from the quality of the work. Instead of putting your entire focus onto one thing everyone multitasking in whatever their doing. Some people like to listen to music while doing homework, others like to talk on the phone or IM while watching TV. I guess we could try to stop ourselves from all of this multitasking, but with all the new gadgets and new things to do on the computer it’s very hard to keep a focus on just one thing when you know you could be doing more.
Two facts that I know are, that years ago not many people had computers, but now over 30 million homes have computers in them and, 10-15 million have modums to allow them to go online. Besides that, I don’t know too much about computers, although I’m on the internet, most of the time, but other then internet, microsoft word, publisher, I don’t know too much. I’d like to learn more about computers like, about webpages and, how to design them.
